First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-moldedplastic.
This latest release is targeted for the Monogram 1/48 B-24J and provides a number of airframe enhancements including the air dams that go ahead of the waist gunner windows, ignition harnesses for all four engines, replacement main gear doors with nice inside detailing, new oleo scissors and hydraulic lines for the main gear struts, interior structures for the main wheel wells, interior details for the nose gear doors, rudder hinges and even a bombardier's windshield wiper
It is unusual that these single-fret detail sets are getting more expensive but you should be able to find some online bargains.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
