First Look
As you know, Eduard produces a wide range of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, armor, and ship kits. When a new and noteworthy kit is released, Eduard will usually follow within a few months with one or more detail sets to enhance that kit. When HK Models released its 1/32 beautiful Mosquito B.IV kit, Eduard had several detail sets released at the same time. These include crew restraint sets, interior detail set, and paint masks. Let's take a closer look at the interior detail set:
In this release, Eduard addresses two very visible features in the cockpit. First is the instrument panel which is rendered with relief detail and decals in the stock kit. This set provides multi-layer color-printed photo-etch with self-adhesive backing to replicate the instrument panel clusters in nice eye-catching detail. Another feature commonly overlooked is the wireless set mounted behind the crew. The set has distinctive details and colorful operator's knobs to allow for operation in a variety of lighting (or lack thereof) conditions. This set also provides a complete replacement for the pilot's rudder pedals, throttle quadrant, and bombardier's instruments and sight.
With all of the clear parts in the nose and cockpit, this set will provide your model with the eye-catching details that will make this beautiful kit even better.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
