First Look
As you know, Eduard produces a wide range of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, armor, and ship kits. When a new and noteworthy kit is released, Eduard will usually follow within a few months with one or more detail sets to enhance that kit. When MRC/Academy released its 1/35 MH-60S Seahawk kit, Eduard soon followed with several nice enhancement sets. Here's the Cockpit Detail Set, let's take a look:
This set consists of two frets of photo-etched parts. One fret is color-printed with sharp details for the instrument panel, center and overhead consoles. The second fret provides details for the cockpit floor, flight deck door interiors, and surface details around other visible structural elements around the cockpit interior. The color-printed sheet is self-adhesive coated on the rear, so you just remove the part from the fret and place it into position where you want it. The adhesive will provide a strong bond after sitting for a while.
This is another nice enhancement that will be easy to install in the MRC/Academy kit and help add additional fidelity to that nice kit. Using this set with the other releases from Eduard will raise the level of detail in this kit to a higher level. I've been waiting tackle the MH-60S kit but I didn't want to start without these Eduard detail sets!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
