First Look

Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic. Many AMS modelers will collect the relevant Eduard photo-etch sets for a given project, but they'll also go out and gather specific resin enhancements as well.

F-104C Electronic Equipment Bay Set

In this release, Eduard has provided a nice detail set for the avionics bay behind the cockpit of the Italeri 1/32 F-104C kit. This set provides structural detail for the inside of the bay door as well as the sill detail. This set also provides a new recess to show two of the avionics modules removed. The color-printed photo-etch provides new control panel faces for the maintenance access controls as well as the central circuit breaker panel. With this set installed, you'll definitely want to pose that bay door open on your F-104C!

This set is one of several released for the Italeri 1/32 kit and elevates the level of detail in the kit nicely.

My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
