Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details.Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwisebland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch ortwo with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic. Such is the case with Tamiya's latest masterpiece, their 1/32 P-51D Mustang.
This set is a complete seat belt and shoulder harness unit for the P-51D and features color-printed photo-etched parts complete with stitching details in the belt material. The set also includes the mounting brackets, adjustment and buckles as separate parts, which mean you'll be threading the photo-etched straps through those buckles and brackets. The instructions walk you through the process. While this may seem to be a bit of work, remember that what looks fine as an integral belt and strap in 1/48 scale looks unrealistically flat in 1/32, so these details will add dimension as well as posability to your pilot's seat.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample! You can see more about this set from their website on this link.
