First Look
As you know, Eduard produces a wide range of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, armor, and ship kits. When a new and noteworthy kit is released, Eduard will usually follow within a few months with one or more detail sets to enhance that kit. When MRC/Academy released its 1/35 MH-60S Seahawk kit, Eduard soon followed with four nice enhancement sets. These include a cockpit set, crew restraint set, interior detail set, and exterior detail set. Let's take a closer look at the interior detail set:
In this release, Eduard has focused on the interior of the MH-60S kit with three frets of photo-etched detail parts. This set is designed to detail up the main cabin (there is another set released for the cockpit) and even though there are three frets of parts, this release is fairly simple. Two of the frets are essentially the floor and ceiling of the main cabin. The rest of the parts enhance the rear bulkhead and the vertical frames behind the cockpit/around the cabin windows. The set also provides interior main cabin door handles, mounting straps for the cabin auxiliary fuel cell, and details for the port and starboard guns/mounts.
This is another nice enhancement that will be easy to install on the MRC/Academy kit and help add additional fidelity to that nice kit. Using this set with the other releases from Eduard will raise the level of detail in this kit to a higher level. I've been waiting tackle the MH-60S kit but I didn't want to start without these sets!
