First Look
If you've been keeping up with the latest releases from Bronco Models, you know about the two recent Willys Jeeps kits with figures set up for British Army Airborne operations (look here and here).Well here we have a super set of diorama or vignette details to provide all of the various 'kit' that would be carried or dropped into an operating area. When you open this sizable box, you expect several large parts trees but instead you see LOTS of smaller parts trees that comprise different aspects of this set.
Molded in light gray styrene, this equipment set is presented on 22 parts trees plus one fret of photo-etched parts and one decal sheet. Among the features and options in this set:
- 1 x Welbike (foldable motorcycle) - can be posed ready to ride or stowed
- 1 x Stowage container tube for Welbike
- 1 x Collapsible trolley (canvas wheelbarrow)
- 1 x BSA military bicycle that can be posed ready to ride or folded for transport
- 1 x Pidgeon container w/pidgeon
- 1 x wireless radio set
- 1 x PIAT anti-tank weapon w/3 ammo containers
- 3 x Bren guns
- 3 x Sten guns
- 3 x Webley pistols and 3 x holstered Webley pistols
- 3 x Lee-Enfield rifles
- 9 x Backpacks/rucksacks
- 4 x Stowage containers
- 4 x Helmets
- 5 x Wicker baskets
Whether you're modeling a fresh drop zone or an assembly area, this set will provide some excellent kit to fill in the scene along with your vehicle(s) and figures. Thank you Bronco Models!
