Black Ops Models is an interesting model company from Australia that specializes in unique subjects as well as nice conversions. Floyd Werner of Werner's Wings told me about this company at the last IPMS National Convention so of course I had to try out one of these conversion kits. The package arrived rather quickly in the mail.
The MH-6M conversion is a major overhaul of the DML kit with virtually a new cockpit and main cabin, new six-bladed rotor hub, new tail, new tail rotor, updated antennas, new FLIR ball, and the distinctive plank seating with overhead fast rope frames. What is convenient is that DML provided six main rotor blades in their kit using only five of them to render the AH-6J. Unfortunately the rotor head is missing out of the image above because it didn't make the trip, but I've contacted the company for a replacement so we can build this beauty.
The company has also announced plans for AH-6M, AH-6i, and AH-1Z Viper conversions! I can hardly wait!
