First Look

Here is one of the latest releases from Barracudacast, this time providing a corrected spinner for the Eduard 1/48 Tempest V kit, and can be used with other Tempest and Typhoon kits with modifications. This set replicates the shape for the de Havilland spinner with its distinctive cut-outs on the sides for the four-bladed propeller.

Thiis set is one of several updates to the Eduard kits (both the 'Series I' and 'Series II' releases) that also includes a nice replacement pilot's seat, hollowed-out exhaust stacks, corrected chin intake/radiator, and several main wheel options. Each of these sets is inexpensive, and if used with either the Overtrees or Weekend editions of the Eduard Tempest kits, will still be a relatively inexpensive but more accurate project.

My sincere thanks to BarracudaCals Decals for this review sample!
