First Look
Barracuda Studios produces a growing line of resin details under the BarracudaCast brand to compliment their BarracudaCals decal line. This release is a simple upgrade/fix for the Airfix 1/48 Sea Fury kit released last year. While the kit is overall nicer than previous Sea Fury kits in this scale, the cowling is not an easy part of the kit due to some fit issues. This set replaces the multi-part cowl access panels with a nice closed cowling and separately cast exhaust stacks.
This set provides two complete sets of exhaust stack inserts with hollowed out ends to replace the kit parts that are keyed to index into the mounting slots on either side of the cowling. The resin cowling accepts the kit engine and cowl ring on one end, and fits onto the forward fuselage without any modifications.
