First Look
Anyz continues to amaze me with how 3D printing technology can do some things better than injection molding or cast resin. This set is designed to transform the avionics bay that sits behind the cockpit of the F-104G/J and is designed as a drop-in replacement for the kit part in Kinetic's 1/48 F-104G or F-104J Starfighter kits.
The left image is the instruction sheet that shows that this set provides two additional black boxes for the inside the avionics bay hood and the placement intructions for those separately printed detail parts that fit into the holes of each avionics module. If you look on Anyz's website or his Facebook page, you can see this gem painted and ready for installation, including cablnig and stencils, both of which are available separately. The stencils are on sheet AN020 I believe. The second photo shows the relative size of this set next to a small Tamiya paint bottle, while the third shows just how sharp the details are on the Anyz part compared to the Kinetic kit part. If you go to the trouble to bring lots of details inside the cockpit of the Kinetic kit, it would be a shame to have an otherwise bland avionics bay visible behind it!
