F-8 Early Vought Ejection Seat

AMS Resin 1/32 F-8 Early Vought Ejection Seat First Look

By Michael Benolkin

Date of Review July 2009 Manufacturer AMS Resin
Subject F-8 Early Vought Ejection Seat Scale 1/32
Kit Number 32033 Media Resin
Pros Nice backdate to the Trumpeter kit Cons
Skill Level Intermediate MSRP (USD) $12.00

First Look

AMS Resin is back with another nice detail set, this time an early ejection seat developed by Vought for the early F-8 Crusader. This would be an essential detail if you're wanting to bacdate the Trumpeter 1/32 F-8E Crusader.

F-8 Early Vought Ejection Seat

Trumpeter released their 1/32 F-8E kit ( look here) with the Martin Baker seat, but this nice casting will provide a key visual detail for the early Crusaders. This resin backdate from AMS Resin nails the look of the seat with the survival kit and stowed shoulder harness. AMS Resin can do some amazing casting that captures details in one or two parts that others have trouble replicating.

Recommended for experienced modelers!

My sincere thanks to AMS Resin for this review sample!
