Yellow-Wings Decals has released complete set of markings for the Accurate Miniatures 1/48 SB2U Vindicator kit. In previsous releases, Yellow Wings provided the national marking cockades in one decal set, the colorful bands and chevrons in another release, and squadron markings in another release.
This release provides cockades for one aircraft, propeller warning markings for two aircraft, and distinctive markings of any one of five examples. The five aircraft include:
- SB2U-2, 1327, 2-F-19, VF-2, USS Lexington, 1939
- SB2U-1, 0769, 1-MF-19, VMF-1, MCAS Quantico VA, 1940
- SB2U-2, 1379, CAG, USS Wasp, 1939
- SB2U-2, 1354, CAG, USS Yorktown, 1939
- SB2U-2, 1381, 5, TU-1, Battle Force Pacific Fleet, 1941
The set also includes several profiles and documentation to help you replicate the proper placement of aircraft's markings to render an accurate model.
