First Look
Yellow-Wing Decals continues to amaze me with their well-researched line of decals. As those of you who've seen previous offerings, the premise of this decal maker was to present decal subjects for primarily US Navy and US Marine Corps aircraft prior to World War II, back when they all wore yellow wings.
Of course they've diversified a bit given that many pre-war US Army Air Corps aircraft also wore yellow wings. Here is a nice set of markings for the classic Hasegawa kit providing a colorful Peashooter from the 95th Pursuit Squadron 'Kicking Mules'.
This decal set provides markings for one aircraft:
- P-26A, 33-101, 97 PS/17 PG, USAAC, 1933/35
This sheet provides sufficient stencils and national markings for this aircraft. The instructions are in color and will also help identify some of the subtle color and detail variations for this aircraft.
Yellow-Wings Decals can be purchased directly from their website at www.yellow-wingsdecals.com.
My sincere thanks to Yellow-Wings Decals for this review sample!
