First Look
Yellow-Wings Decals has released its fourth decal set in 1/32 scale. This set is just in time for the release of Trumpeter's beautiful F4F-3 Wildcat kit in 1/32 scale.
This set provides markings for aircraft from VF-41 off the USS Ranger and VF-72 off of USS Wasp. The aircraft covered in this set are:
- F4F-3, 1864, VF-41, 41-F-18, USS Ranger, Early 1941
- F4F-3, 1883, VF-72, 72-F-1, USS Wasp, Early 1941
- F4F-3, 1880, VF-72, 72-F-16, USS Wasp, Early 1941
The instructions that are included in this set provide not only the colors and decal placement for the three examples, the flipside of each profile contains a table of aircraft numbers and associated bureau numbers so that you can replicate any of the aircraft in either squadron.
