First Look
Warbird Decals produced a really nice set of decals covering five nose art examples from the famed 332 Fighter Group - the Tuskegee Airmen. The subjects in this release include:
- P-51C, 100 FS/332 FG, 3, Ramatelli, Italy, 1944, as flown by Capt WW Crockett, 'Daisy Mae'
- P-51C, 100 FS/332 FG, 66, Ramatelli, Italy, 1944, as flown by LtCol Benjamin O. Davis, 'By Request'
- P-51D, 100 FS/332 FG, 10, Ramatelli, Italy, 1944, as flown by Lt Spurgeon Ellington, 'Lollipop II'
- P-51C, 302 FS/332 FG, 73, Ramatelli, Italy, 1944, as flown by Capt Wendell Pruitt, 'Alice-Jo'
- P-51D, 302 FS/332 FG, 88, Ramatelli, Italy, 1944, as flown by Lt Freddie Hutchins, 'Little Freddie'
This set provides some interesting P-51C/D options, all sized for the Tamiya kits.
Warbird Decals are available through a number of online retailers.
My sincere thanks to Warbird Decals for this review sample!
