First Look

Worldwide Aviation Decals is a new aftermarket decal company from the Netherlands which has started off with an interesting selection of releases. In this release, we have three A-4 Skyhawks which provide an interesting cross-section of early Scooters..

Scooters of the Fleet Part 2 Scooters of the Fleet Part 2

The subjects in this release include:

  • A4D-2 (A-4B), 149336, VA-23, NE/405, USS Midway, 1962
  • A-4C, 149551, VA-146, NK/604, USS Constellation, 1964
  • A-4E, 151102, VA-212, NP/225, USS Bon Homme Richard, 1967

Note how two of the national markings are distorted oddly? These are designed to lay down over the nose and air refueling probe fairing so that the star and bar will appear normal after placement. Nice design work! The star and bar were only placed on the nose of the A-4B/C and were moved back to the tail section by the A-4E. This set provides markings for three complete aircraft.

My sincere thanks to Worldwide Aviation Decals for this review sample!
