Syh@art Decals is an interesting aftermarket decal producer from France that specializes in those special paint schemes worn by NATO aircraft for Tiger Meet, Anniversary, or special Airshow duties. Most of their decal line is produced in 1/48 and 1/72 scale with selected subjects in 1/32 scale also covered.

Mirage 2000C Mirage 2000C

In this release, we have a very colorful Mirage 2000C painted to commemorate the last flight of EC1/12 when it was disbanded after 60 years of operations. The decal set doesn't indicate a preferred kit, so you can apply this to your favorite Mirage 2000C and demonstrate your airbrushing skills. The subject of this set is:

  • Mirage 2000C, 103, 103-YN, EC1/12, Cambrai-Epinoy AB, 2012

This set is comprised of three sheets with sufficient markings to render this subject plus a set of vinyl masks to approach this paint scheme one of two ways. Note that aside from the gold, the airframe fades from black in the tail to gray on the radome. The masks are set up to let you paint the black or the gold first. To make this set even better, Syh@rt also provides color matching with paint numbers from Humbrol, Revell, Tamiya, Gunze, and Testors Model Master. Where there are no exact matches, they also provide mixing recommendations using each brand to get you the right results.

Though you'll be spending more time with paint and decals than building the model, this subject will render an eye-catching subject that is potentially a contest winner.

My sincere thanks to Syh@rt Decals for this review sample!
