First Look

Stormo! is a comprehensive online resource for Italian Air Force subjects from World War II. With all of the information that has been compiled there, it was only natural that they produce some decals to cover some of these subjects that get overlooked by other decal companies. In this installment, the fifth in their 1/48 scale releases and their second in the parallel 1/32 scale release, we have five Bf 109s that were the mounts for five Regia Aeronautica aces. This decal set comes on one large sheet and provides markings for five aircraft:

Bf 109G Bf 109G

  • Bf 109G-14, W.Nr. 434444, Nucleo Comando II Gruppo Caccia, Aviano AB, Feb 1945, as flown by Magg Carlo Miani
  • Bf 109G-6/U4, W.Nr. unknown, 1a Squadriligilia II Gruppo Caccia, Aviano AB, Nov 1944, as flown by Cap Ugo Drago
  • Bf 109G-10/R3, W.Nr. 491501, 1a Squadrigilia II Gruppo Caccia, Aviano AB, Feb 1945, as flown by Serg Magg Loris Baldi
  • Bf 109G-14, W.Nr. 464380, 5a Squadrigilia II Gruppo Caccia, Osoppo AB, Mar 1945, as flown by Magg Mario Bellagambi
  • Bf 109F-4, W.Nr. unknown, 363a Squadrigilia 150 Gruppo Caccia, Sciacca, May 1943, as flown by Ten Antonio Camaioni

The printing is spot on and provide for some distinctive options for your favorite 1/48 Fredrich or Gustav kits.
