First Look
Here is the latest release from Starfighter Decals, this time providing four colorful F4D Skyrays in 1/72 scale. This set provides two USN and two USMC examples. You'll remember that the USMC is part of the Department of the Navy (the men's department).
This decal set provides markings for the following subjects:
- F4D-1, 139071, VMF(AW)-114, VW/20, Ping Tung AB, Taiwan Straight Crisis, 1958
- F4D-1, 134806, VF-141, S/205, USS Essex, 1956
- F4D-1, 134910, VF-23, NL/205, USS Hancock, 1958
- F4D-1, 134806, VMF(AW)-542, WH/8, 1959
This decal set offers some interesting alternatives for kit subjects and would be awfully nice to see in 1/48 scale for the Tamiya kit!
