Starfighter Decals has released this interesting set of 1/48 N2S-3 Kaydet decals for the Revell kit. They provide three recommended schemes which will be handy for those without good photo references. However...
This decal set comes on two sheets and as you can see, it is literally a universal set. With this decal set, you can replicate just about any Kaydet in USN service, thanks to an array of different color ID bands, generic ID numbers in two colors and three sizes, US Navy markings in two colors, and five different national marking options. You can easily create four or more models out of this one decal sheet with careful planning. There are even two sets of wing walkways and two sets of early USN propeller tip stripes included.
It is nice to see some nice decal options for Revell's 1/48 scale PT-17 Stearman/N2S Kaydet kit. Get yourself a set and get that trainer on your bench! You can purchase these decals directly from Starfighter Decals on their website.
