Starfighter Decals has released this useful decal set for modelers of World War II aircraft carriers. This set provides generic markings for the equivalent of an entire air group, far more markings that your Trumpeter aircraft carrier has in the box.

The first image shows all six decal sheets provided in the set. The next image is a closer look at one of the five that provide US national markings, either the blue-background markings used with the tri-color camouflage or the all-white style for the aircraft painted in all Sea Blue later in the war. The third image shows a bit of the sixth decal sheet which has a complete set of MODEX number which you can tailor to the markings used by the air group assigned to your aircraft carrier. This set provides you with the tools to render a proper air wing wheter you use this set across numerous aircraft carrier builds or you elect to see how many Trumpeter aircraft sets you can get parked on and below decks of your Essex-class carrier.

This set is just what you need to provide that extra visual detail to your next carrier build. I wouldn't be surprised to see this set appear in 1/200 scale for the new series of carriers being developed for those modelers with lots of shelf space!
