First Look
Platz Hobby produces a wide range of kits, decals, and detail sets for the hobby market and wants to make their presence better known outside the Japanese market. You might want to take note as if this is an example of their work, you're going to want to procure some of these various products of interest.
In this release, we have a VERY thorough decal set for one F-2A from the 8th Wing commemorating their 50th anniversary (1959-2009).
The subject provided in this set:
- F-2A, 53-8535, 8th Wing, 6 Sqn, JASDF, 50th Anniversary Scheme
In addition, the set provides an extensive set of airframe stenciling, walkways, and distintive airframe markings. The printing is quite nicely done and in perfect register. The image doesn't do this sheet justice as the starboard tail markings are printed on a chrome silver background.
