MAW-Decals is a relatively new decal company that seems to be well-placed to get quality information - Camp Lejuene, NC. MAW (for Marine Air Wing) is affiliated with VF Decals (VF - Navy Fighter Squadron).

F/A-18C F/A-18C

In their first release, they've tackled three F/A-18D Night Attack Hornets from three different USMC squadrons. This time around, we have a disctinctive F/A-18C from VMFA-251 'Thunderbolts' representing its colors at two different times.

The two markings covered in this set are:

  • F/A-18C, 164871, VMFA-251, AB/200, CVW-1, USS Theodore Roosevelt, July 2001
  • F/A-18C, 164871, VMFA-251, DW/200, July 2003

The decal printing is crisp and colorful and also includes one set of maintenance stencils. The instructions are printed in full color. This set also includes a vinyl mask to paint the the false canopy on the underside of the aircraft.

For more information about this set and the other releases from MAW-Decals, visit their website at http://www.mawdecals.com.

My sincere thanks to MAW-Decals for this review sample!
