First Look
LPS Hobby from Brazil has returned with some new decals targeted for the 1/72nd scale modeler. In this release, they've produced markings for three Commonwealth Mustang Mk.IVAs. The subjects include:
- Mustang Mk.IVA, KH608, 442 Sqn (RCAF), Y2, Hunsdon AB, UK, 1945
- Mustang Mk.IVA, KH670, 5 Sqn (SAAF), GL-N, Udine, Italy, 1945
- Mustang Mk.IVA, KH676, 3 Sqn (RAAF), CV-A, Cervla AB, Italy, 1945
The decals are printed by Microscale and the RAF roundels will need the red dot placed atop the blue-white background. According to the instructions, some of these aircraft are featured in the Airfix kit, but the maintenance stencils and some of the markings needed correction, plus the ease of use of the Microscale decals make this set very worthwhile indeed.
