First Look
Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have a selection of colorful B-25 Mitchells from the 345th Bomb Group deployed to the South Pacific during World War II. This set depicts the colorful markings worn by the Pacific Straffers of the 345th, including one aircraft shown with two different nose art schemes.
The subjects include:
- B-25D, 41-30278, 500 BS/345 BG, 'Hell's Fire
- B-25D, 41-30592, 498 BS/345 BG, 'Mexican Spitfire'
- B-25D, 41-30058, 499 BS/345 BG, 'Lucky Bat' version 1
- B-25D, 41-30058, 499 BS/345 BG, 'Lucky Bat' version 2
- B-25D, 41-30032, 498 BS/345 BG, 'Old Baldy'
This set is printed by Microscale Decals and you can see the artwork is sharp and in great register. The decals are sized for the Airfix 1/72 B-25C/D kit.
You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
