First Look

Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have four distinctive Bf 109F-4 fighters, all of which were flown by Hans Joachim Marseille. These four aircraft represent the four Freidrichs that he flew before getting killed in his first Gustav combat mission. In addition, markings are provided for Marseille's Kubelwagen 'Otto'. The four aircraft presented here are:

Me 109 Me 109

  • Bf 109F-4/Trop, W.Nr. 8693, Yellow 14, 3./JG 27, North Africa, 1942, as flown by Hans Joachim Marseille
  • Bf 109F-4/Trop, W.Nr. 10059, Yellow 14, 3./JG 27, North Africa, 1942, as flown by Hans Joachim Marseille
  • Bf 109F-4/Trop, W.Nr. 10137, Yellow 14, 3./JG 27, North Africa, 1942, as flown by Hans Joachim Marseille
  • Bf 109F-4/Trop, W.Nr. 8673, Yellow 14, 3./JG 27, North Africa, 1942, as flown by Hans Joachim Marseille

As you can see in the decal images and profiles, this set provides some distinctive color schemes. This set was designed for the Finemold or Italeri Bf 109F kits and the Hasegawa or Academy Kubelwagen.

You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
