First Look
Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have five distinctive Ki-43 examples designed for the 1/48 Hasegawa, Fine Molds or Arii kits. As usual, these decals are nicely printed and very colorful in their subject selections. This decal set provides markings for five aircraft:
- Ki-43-I, 11th Sentai, Mingaladon AB, Burma, 1942, as flown by Major Katsuji Sugiura
- Ki-43-II Otsu, 204th Sentai, Meiktila AB, Burma, 1944, as flown by Major Torashiro Aizawa
- Ki-43-I, 64th Sentai, Mingaladon AB, Burma, 1942, as flown by Lt Sabura Nakamurra
- Ki-43-III, 29th Shinbu-tai, Chiran AB, Kagoshima, 1945
- Ki-43-III, unk Shinbu-tai, 1945
As you can see in the decal images, this set comes complete with a full set of national markings, distinctive unit markings, and basic airframe stenciling. You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
