First Look
Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have four distinctive Ki-44 Shoki (Tojo) examples designed for the 1/48 Hasegawa kits. As usual, these decals are nicely printed and very colorful in their subject selections. This decal set provides markings for four aircraft:
- Ki-44-II Hei, 87 Sentai, 1945, as flown by Lt Hideaki Inayama
- Ki-44-II Kou, 85 Sentai, 1943, as flown by LtCol Yukiyoshi Wakamatsu
- Ki-44-II Hei, 3 Chutai/246 Sentai, 1944
- Ki-44-II Hei, 2 Chutai/246 Sentai, 1945
As you can see in the decal images, this set comes complete with a full set of national markings, distinctive unit markings, and a wealth of maintenance stencils. If you're looking for a colorful alternative that isn't from the mainstream Superscale/Eagle Strike/Aeromaster line-up, here is a nice way to be different!
You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
