First Look
Lifelike Decals from Japan turns out some colorful and nicely printed subjects. In this set, we have four distinctive Mustangs in time for Tamiya's recent 1/32 P-51D Mustang kit. As usual, these decals are nicely printed and very colorful in their subject selections. This decal set provides markings for four aircraft:
- P-51D-15-NA, 44-15459308 FS/31 FG, HL-B, 'American Beauty', as flown by Capt John Voll
- P-51D-10-NA, 44-14733, 370 FS/359 FG, CS-L, 'Daddy's Girl', as flown by Capt R. Wetmore
- P-51D-10-NA, 44-14570, 35 FS/4 FG, WD-D, 'Thunder Bird', as flown by Capt Ted Lines
- P-51K-10-NT, Deputy Commander 348 FG, 0, 'Mrs. Bonnie', as flown by LtCol Bill Dunham
As you can see in the decal images, this set comes complete with a full set of national markings, distinctive unit markings, and a wealth of maintenance stencils. If you're looking for a colorful alternative that isn't from the mainstream Superscale/Eagle Strike/Aeromaster line-up, here is a nice way to be different!
You can purchase these decals directly from Lifelike Decals. My sincere thanks to Lifelike Decals for this review sample!
