First Look

Alright you fans of Soviet & Russian military aviation, Linden Hill has released another nice set of markings, this time covering a selection of subjects from the Kazakhstan Air Force. These have some really nice color schemes to provide alternatives for your next MiG or Sukhoi project. The subjects included in this set are:

Linden Hill Decals Linden Hill Decals

  • Su-27M2, Bort 01
  • Su-27S, Bort 02
  • Su-27M2, Bort 03
  • Su-27S, Bort 04
  • Su-27S, Bort 05
  • Su-27M2, Bort 10
  • Su-27UB, Bort 51
  • Su-27UBM2, Bort 53
  • MiG-23UB, Bort 64
  • MiG-27D, Bort 30
  • MiG-27D, Bort 36
  • MiG-27D, Bort 44

The instructions provide good color and paint information ro replicate these various color patterns.

The only glitch in this set (not present in the 1/32 nor 1/48 versions) is that most of the decals including bort number outlines and shield details are provided as two-layer decals. That means that you have to place one layer, and when it is dry you have to put another layer atop it to complete the artwork.

Linden Hill Decals can be purchased directly from their website at http://www.lindenhillimports.com/.

My sincere thanks to Linden Hill Decals for this review sample!
