First Look
Alright you fans of Soviet & Russian military aviation, Linden Hill has released another nice set of markings, this time covering a selection of subjects from the Kazakhstan Air Force. These have some really nice color schemes to provide alternatives for your next MiG or Sukhoi project. The subjects included in this set are:
- Su-27M2, Bort 01
- Su-27S, Bort 02
- Su-27M2, Bort 03
- Su-27S, Bort 04
- Su-27S, Bort 05
- Su-27M2, Bort 10
- Su-27UB, Bort 51
- Su-27UBM2, Bort 53
- MiG-23UB, Bort 64
- MiG-27D, Bort 30
- MiG-27D, Bort 36
- MiG-27D, Bort 44
The instructions provide good color and paint information ro replicate these various color patterns.
You might look at this kit list and wonder why some of these subjects are here. The Su-27M2 and Su-27S can be built out of the Academy 1/48 Su-27 Flanker B kit while the Su-27UB and UBM2 can be built out of the Academy or Wolfpack 1/48 Su-27UB kit. While nobody has produced the definitive 1/48 Flogger kit to date, you can use the ESCI/Hobbycraft/Italeri/et.al 1/48 MiG-27 Flogger as the starting point for the MiG-27D.
