First Look
Alright you fans of Soviet & Russian military aviation, Linden Hill has released another nice set of markings, this time for Trumpeter's 1/32 MiG-23MLD kit. This set covers six Soviet veterans of the Afghan war.
The six subjects rendered in this set include:
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 48, 168 IAP, Starokonstantinov AB deployed to Bagram AB, 1988
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 26, 168 IAP, Starokonstantinov AB deployed to Bagram AB, 1987
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 55, 979 IAP, Schuchin AB deployed to Kandahar AB, 1987-88
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 32, 120 IAP, Domna AB, deployed to Bagram and Shindand AB, 1988-89
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 57, 120 IAP, Domna AB, deployed to Bagram and Shindand AB, 1988-89
- MiG-23MLD, Bort 64, 120 IAP, Domna AB, deployed to Bagram and Shindand AB, 1988-89
The instructions provide good color and paint information ro replicate these various color patterns.
Linden Hill has produced another nice set of markings and really provide some excellent subjects from the Soviet and Warsaw Pact Air Forces. This decal set will definitely give you some great alternatives so your aircraft won't look 'out of the box'.
