First Look
Impact Decals has returned from a several year break with a magnificent new release. This set provides six US Marine Corps aircraft in high visibilitiy schemes all carrying Bicentennial colors. There is a little for every one here with two variants each of the Scooter, Intruder, and Phantom.
The six subjects in this set are:
- TA-4J, 153675, VMA-133, NAS Alameda, 1976
- A-4E, 150076, VMA-124, NAS Memphis, 1976
- A-6E, 155638, VMA(AW)-121, MCAS Iwakuni, 1977
- EA-6A, 156991, VMAQ-2 Det.C, MCAS Iwakuni, 1976
- F-4B, 152327, VMFA-351, NAS Atlanta, 1977
- RF-4B, 153107, VMFP-3 Det.1, MCAS Iwakuni, 1976
These markings are nicely designed and printed, with this set of two sheets providing sufficient markings to render all six aircraft, including sufficient national markings. This set will definitely do some distinctive USMC aircraft using the Academy (or Hasegawa) F-4B, Hasegawa RF-4B, Kinetic (or Revell) A-6E, Revell EA-6A, and Hasegawa A-4E and TA-4J kits. There should be no issues using the A-6E on the new Hobby Boss kit.
