First Look

Foxbot Decals is new (to me) decal company from Kiev, Ukraine, that specializes in replicating those interesting Ukrainian Air Force subjects currently in service. They also produce a nice array of Soviet WW2 subjects as well, though they will jump outside those boundaries to produce other interesting subjects. In this release, we have a nice selection of five La-5FNs in distinctive markings. Let's take a look:

The subjects in this set include:

  • La-5FN, Bort 25, 34 IAP/317 IAD, Moscow, 1945
  • La-5FN, Bort 05, northwest sector, 1944
  • La-5FN, Bort 30, 41 GIAP/8 GIAD, Poland, 1944
  • La-5FN, Bort 34, 721 IAP/286 IAD, Belarus, 1944
  • La-5FN, Special markings for aircraft built from funds collected by Buryatia workers

This set is produced on one sheets of decals that provide the national markings as well as distinctive subject markings. The instructions are nicely done with clear placement of the markings. Whether you have the Zvezda or the Eduard reboxing of this kit, these decals will provide some interesting subjects for your scale flightline.
