First Look
FCM Decals has an interesting line of aftermarket decals from Brazil. The subjects covered in this line include many Brazilian civil and military aircraft subjects, WWI aircraft, and the occasional look at the aircraft of other nations as well.
In this set, we have a nice variety of Shooting Stars with a good cross-section of examples from Chile, Brazil, Mexico, and Portugal. The eight examples featured here include:
- F-80C, 4200, 1°/4°G.Av., FAB, 'Arlequim'
- F-80C, 4202, 1°/4°G.Av., Fortaleza AB, FAB, 1959
- F-80C, 4227, 1°/4°G.Av., Fortaleza AB, FAB, 1959
- AT-33A, 4351, 1°14°G.Av., Canoas AB, FAB, 1974
- TF-33A, 4332, 1°/4°G.Av., Fortaleza AB, FAB, 1967
- TF-33A, JE-052, Aero 202, Tuxtla Guiterrez AB, Mexico, 1967
- TF-33A, 1919, Esq 103/11 Airbase, Beja, Portuguese AF, 1968
- F-80C, J-332, Grupo °12, Chabunco AB, FACh, 1971
This decal set provides the distinctive markings for all six aircraft plus a set of complete maintenance stenciling for at least one aircraft. Color instructions are provided in FS595 standard.
This set is intended for the Airfix/Gran F-80 or Hasegawa/Heller T-33 (but will definitely work with the Platz T-33 as well).
