FCM Decals has an interesting line of aftermarket decals from Brazil. The subjects covered in this line include many Brazilian civil and military aircraft subjects, WWI aircraft, and the occasional look at the aircraft of other nations as well.
In this set, we have an interesting pair of Sundowner Tomcats in after the adoption of overall gray color but still retaining the high-visibility colors. The two examples included in this set are:
- F-14A-100-GR, 160664, NL/213, VF-111, USS Kitty Hawk, 1982
- F-14A-125-GR, 161152, NL/200, VF-111, USS Carl Vinson, 1986, CAG Mount
The instructions show how these decals can accommodate the Italeri kit with the early gun gas vent door. This decal set provides the vents for the Italeri kit. Note that the tail markings are sized for the Italeri kit for the 1982 aircraft and will have some fit issues with you try to use these with the Academy kit. The 1986 decals will work with either kit..
