First Look
Furball Aero-Design has released a nice set of airframe stenciling and walkways for the 1/48 F-8E Crusader with two complete sets included. This set will work with the Hasegawa or Monogram kits.
You can see in the title image that the left and right views show stencil placement on the airframe and on the reverse side of the sheet are the top and bottom views with their placement instructions. This set compliments the F-8 decal super set released previously and provide the extra stenciling to create more aircraft out of that superset (which includes stenciling for two aircraft as well).
The sheet is printed by Cartograf and the printing is very well done. What's more, none of these decals require the modeler to stack multiple layers of markings atop one another to recreate artwork. This trend by some other decal companies of producing multiple-layer decals is unfortunate as it puts the burden on you to do the work of what should have been done by the decal maker.
My sincere thanks to Furball Aero-Design for this review sample!
