First Look
DXM Decal is a decal company out of Taipei, Taiwan that produces a very nice line of aftermarket subjects. In this release, they feature the 40th Anniversary of JASDF 301 Squadron as carried by an F-4EJ Kai Phantom II. Hasegawa released this subject in one of their 1/72 scale reissues but has not done this aircraft in 1/48 scale.
The example presented here:
- F-4EJ Kai, 77-8389, JASDF, 301 Sq, JASDF, 40th Anniversary Scheme
The golden decals are magnificent and that dark blue sunburst on the decal sheet is actually the lighter color on the tail of that Phantom. I hope to revise this first look as soon as possible as the DXM website doesn't have these new releases online yet and their blog is offline following that big storm that passed through the region recently. This set will create a stunning model for your next contest entry!

My sincere thanks to DXM Decal for this review sample!
