First Look
DXM Decal is a decal company out of Taipei, Taiwan that produces a very nice line of aftermarket sets. In this release, we have four JASDF Aggressor Eagles wearing very distinctive camouflage. Check these out:.
The examples presented here include:
- F-15DJ, 92-8095, JASDF Aggressor, 2009
- F-15J, 92-8912, JASDF Aggressor, 2008
- F-15DJ, 82-8091, JASDF Aggressor, 2006
- F-15J, 92-8906, JASDF Aggressor, 2004
The printing is very well done and none of these decals require the modeler to stack multiple layers of markings atop one another to recreate artwork. This trend by some other decal companies of producing multiple-layer decals is unfortunate as it puts the burden on you to do the work of what should have been done by the decal maker.
This set provides several complete sets of maintenance stencils and markings to replicate at least one example (and if you use some of the stencils from the kits, you can do more!). This set is designed to work with the Hasegawa kit. The set also includes a small CD-ROM with electronic version of these instructions along with super-sized diagrams to minimize the squinting required to locate each of those stencils. The set also includes a roll of 2mm masking tape to help you achieve those hard-line camouflage edges.

My sincere thanks to DXM Decal for this review sample!
