First Look
Here is one of a new series of decals from Caracal Models - the Basics. This release is a utility set that allows you to replicate the serial and buzz numbers for several T-33, F-80, and/or F-94 aircraft in 1/48 scale. The set includes one set of the PN buzz number prefix assigned to the P-80 Shooting Star, two sets of the FT buzz number prefix assigned to the F-80 Shooting Star (post-1947), one set of the TR buzz number prefix assigned to the T-33 Shooting Star, and two sets of the FA buzz number prefixes assigned to the F-94 Starfire. This set also includes the U.S. Air Force script that goes on the tail along with the full serial number of the aircraft, again with sufficient markings for five aircraft, as well as sufficient numbers for the buzz numbers and aircraft serial numbers.
If you're modeling one of Lockheed's early jet aircraft but want to replicate a different aircraft than your decals provide, this set will give you the markings you need to get that job done.
