First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models, this time to provide some interesting options for Minicraft's outstanding PBM-5/5A Mariner Part 1 kits. The aircraft presented in this set include:
- PBM-5A, 122603, 603, NATC, NAS Patuxent River, 1949
- PBM-5S, 84767, XA/32, VX-1, NAS Key West, 1949
- PBM-5, 45428, C428, VPB-26, Saipan, 1945
- PBM-5, 45416, V6, VPB-21, 1945
- PBM-5A, 122081, 081, VR-21, Yokosuka, 1950
The markings are nicely printed (of course, they're from Cartograf) and provide sufficient markings for one subject. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.
