First Look

Here is the latest release from Caracal Models, this time to provide some interesting options for your favorite 1/72 MiG-29 (9-12) and MiG-29UB (9-51) kit. The aircraft presented in this set include:

MiG-29 (9-12) MiG-29 (9-12)

  • MiG-29 9-12, 36507, Bangladesh AF, 2011
  • MiG-29UB, 28264, Bangladesh AF, 2011
  • MiG-29 9-12, Bort 30, Bulgarian AF, 2010
  • MiG-29UB, Bort 14, Bulgarian AF, 2010
  • MiG-29 9-12, KB715, Indian AF, 2008
  • MiG-29 9-12, 2708, Myanmar AF, 2011
  • MiG-29UB, 2716, Myanmar AF, 2011
  • MiG-29 9-12, Bort 54, Romanian AF, 1996
  • MiG-29UB, Bort 23, Romanian AF, 1996

The markings are nicely printed (of course, they're from Cartograf) and provide sufficient markings for at least five subjects. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
