First Look

Here is the latest release from Caracal Models, this time to provide some interesting options for the Trumpeter 1/72 JF-17 kit. The aircraft presented in this set include:

JF-17 JF-17

  • JF-17 Thunder, 11-130, PAF 16 Sqn, Peshawar AB, Pakistani AF, 2011
  • JF-17 Thunder, 10-116, PAF 26 Sqn, Peshawar AB, Pakistani AF, 2011

The markings are nicely printed (of course, they're from Cartograf) and provide the distinctive markings as well as one set of national markings and stencils to render either aircraft. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.

For more information about this set and the other releases from Caracal Models, visit their website at http://caracalmodels.com.

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
