First Look

Here is the first decal release from Caracal Models for the Skunkmodels 1/72 MQ-9 Reaper kit. This set provides a nice variety of subjects for the modeler to choose from.

MQ-9

The aircraft presented in this set include:

  • Predator B, 870, NASA, "Ikhana"
  • Reaper, ZZ201/07-111, 39 Sqn, RAF
  • Reaper, ZZ203/08-133, 39 Sqn, RAF
  • MQ-9, 04-011, 42 AS/432 AW, Creech AFB, Wing CC's drone
  • MQ-9, 05-016, 42 AS/432 AW, Creech AFB, Sqn CC's drone
  • MQ-9, 05-018, 42 AS/432 AW, Creech AFB
  • MQ-9, 08-038, 174th FW (ATKW), Hancock Field, NY
  • MQ-9, 08-053, 29 AS/49th AW, Holloman AFB

The markings are sharp and in perfect register. The decals are printed by Microscale.

This set provides some nice alternative markings to the Skunkmodels' kit and help usher in a new era with the variety of unmanned aerial vehicles (systems) coming out in kit form.
