First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models just in time for the recent Revell 1/48 Stearman kit. This set provides two USN, one USAAC, one RCAF, and one Chinese AF examples.
The subjects covered in this set include:
- N2S-2, 3553, 401, NAS Corpus Christi, TX, 1943
- N2S-3, 3455, 96, 1942
- PT-17, 127, USAAC, 1940
- PT-17, 215977, Chinese AF, 1942
- PT-27, FJ848, RCAF, 1942
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide national markings, distinctive tail art markings as well as a nice set of airframe stencils. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
