First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models for the Kitty Hawk Models 1/48 F-35A and F-35B Lightning II kits. This set provides some of the first operational as well as late test squadron schemes for the USAF and USMC plus one of the first examples delivered to the RAF.
The subjects covered in this set include:
- F-35B, 168059, VMFAT-501, VM/03, USMC, 2013
- F-35B, 168718, VMFA-121, VK/16, USMC, 2013
- F-35B, BF-05, VX-23, SD/65, USMC, 2013
- F-35B, ZM137, RAF, 2013
- F-35A, 08-0746, 58 FS, Eglin AFB, 2013
- F-35A, 10-5009, 422 TES, Nellis AFB, 2013
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide all of the distinctive markings plus stenciling for one airframe. This is a nice set of alternatives to the kit decals and will make your JSF look great!
