First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models in anticipation of Academy's 1/48 F-4C/D Phantom II kit (though this set will also work with the Hasegawa kit). This set provides colorful Air National Guard examples wearing ADC Gray and great unit markings.
The subjects covered in this set include:
- F-4C, 64-0888, 114 FIS/OR ANG, 1985
- F-4D, 66-5648, 179 FIS/MN ANG, 1985
- F-4C, 63-7591, 111 FIS/TX ANG, 1983
- F-4D, 66-7457, 171 FIS/MI ANG, 1986
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide national markings, distinctive tail art markings as well as a nice set of airframe stencils. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
