First Look

Here is the latest release from Caracal Models for the Kitty Hawk 1/32 T-6G Texan kit. This set provides two typical training aircraft examples from the US Air Force's Air Training Command in the mid-1950s.

T-6G Texan USAF T-6G Texan USAF

The subjects covered in this set include:

  • T-6G, 49-2910, Air Training Command, Hondo AFB, 1954
  • T-6G, 49-3477, Air Training Command, Columbus AFB, 1955

The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) with a correction sheet from Microscale and provide all of the distinctive markings plus stenciling for one airframe. This is a nice set of alternatives to the kit decals and will make your Texan look great!

My sincere thanks to Caracal Models for this review sample!
