First Look
Here is the latest release from Caracal Models for Special Hobby's 1/32 T-33A Shooting Star kit. This set provides colorful Air National Guard examples wearing ADC Gray and great unit markings.
The subjects covered in this set include:
- T-33A, 52-9682, 119 FIS/NJ ANG, 1980s
- T-33A, 57-0580, 171 FIS/MI ANG, 1980
- T-33A, 52-9655, 222 FIS/TX ANG, 1986
- T-33A, 53-5959, 178 FIS/OR ANG, 1975
- T-33A, 53-5816, 178 FIS/ND ANG, two versions: 1975 and 1983
The markings are nicely printed (by Cartograf) and provide national markings, distinctive tail art markings as well as a nice set of airframe stencils. The decals are all single-layer - none of them require you to stack one decal atop another to recreate complex art as with some other decal manufacturers.
